Chavo v1.1.5
Save the workouts you repeat as routines, swap an exercise mid-workout, or just ask Chavo to do it
I'm excited to announce Chavo v1.1.5. This one is for the sessions you already know you want to do.
🔁 Workout Templates
Most of us don't invent a new workout every time we train. We have a push day, a short session for when time is tight, a handful of lifts we come back to. Until now, Chavo was great at building something new and logging what you did — and less great at keeping the workout you already like.
You can now save a routine: a named set of exercises, with the sets you want to do. They live in the Fitness Hub. Open one and start a workout. The exercises and sets come with you, so you're logging instead of rebuilding the session from scratch.
There's also a last exercise values option. Leave it off and a session starts from the sets on the template. Turn it on and each exercise picks up the last values you logged, so the routine stays the same while the weights and reps move with you.
Edit them whenever the session changes. Add an exercise, drop a set, rename it. Delete a routine and your past workouts stay — only the template goes away.
🔄 Swap an Exercise Mid-Workout
A machine is taken. A movement doesn't feel right. You shouldn't have to delete the exercise and rebuild the sets.
Swipe the exercise and pick a replacement. It stays in the same spot, and the sets you already had come with it.
💬 Ask Chavo
Same as everything else in the app: you don't have to do it by hand.
Tell the coach you want a routine and it will put one together for you to approve. Ask it to change one, remove one, or list the ones you already have. When you're ready to train, tell it to start today's workout from a template. It copies the exercises into the session and you're in. Mid-workout, ask it to swap an exercise too.
Why this matters
A coach that only generates new workouts misses how training actually works. Progress comes from repeating the right sessions, then doing a little more than last time. Templates give you a place to keep those sessions. The coach can still build one when you want something new — and now it can save the one worth repeating.
Let's get to rocking. 🚀
